Understanding the Global Warming

A condition of increase in earth's temperature is called as global warming. Few years ago, studies have depicted increase in earth's temperature in last century by one degree Fahrenheit. Industrial development has served a gate way to the progression of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. This initiated to tremendous warming on earth.

The reasons

Greenhouse emissions – Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas and absorbs heat from the sun. Imagine a balloon filled with warm air. While environment friendly solutions are carry out, the age of industrialization resulted to severe air pollution- a striking negative issue we are facing today.

Deforestation – Deforestation, next to increased carbon emissions, is the primary cause of accumulation of carbon dioxide in the earth`s surface. Due to expansion of mans business and construction projects, most of the rainforest were converted to commercial areas. Without the forest, there are no trees and plants to absorb CO2. Unfortunately, we strive hard to built an industrialized planet to live in yet never considered the balance of mother nature. An exciting horror of imbalanced ecology that hunts every humanity.

The dire consequences

Weather patterns – Drought is a state of inadequacy of water supply in a given place. Most harmful consequence brought by drought is starvation. As farmlands are destroyed by drought, crop yields declined. This results to famine in less developed and undeveloped countries.On the contrary, drought may results to stronger rains,severe floods and even hurricanes and tsunamis.

Health – Air pollution is a very convenient tool to spread diseases. Polluted air makes it easy to impair and destroy a persons respiratory system. Nowadays, young generations were victims of air borne diseases, allergies and fatal diseases such as malaria, cholera and dengue fever.

Adverse effects on wildlife – Every now and then, it's not surprising to hear the extinction of our wildlife. How can we expect these little creatures to survive if we are destroying their habitat to pursue and satisfy our need for an industrialized lifestyle? We invented technology to make our life easier at the expense of these creatures' survival. When are we going to recognize our mistakes?

What measures you can take?

Arrest pollution – Reducing the rate of pollution caused by human can slow down global warming and even brings back lost balance of ecology. Mans continuous pursuit of knowledge makes it possible for the invention of different forms of altenative energy. What man can do to help his mother earth is to maximize this knowledge and and use solar energy, wind energy and other renewable clean energies to reduce the level of pollution.

Changes to the legal system – With public support on the rise, laws must be imposed worldwide to cap emissions of carbon dioxide and other green house gasses from industrial and power plants. Tighter standards for appliances such as air conditioners and heat pumps will also strengthen the efforts to reduce emissions.

Make the difference – In every system to work, we are the key to make it work. Each and every one of us has responsibilities of combating global warming. Participation counts. Let us start changing the system by starting the change within our selves. Conserve energy in your household and workplaces. Manage waste disposal. Recycle your waste. Encourage people for adopting this model of sustained development. We in our own small ways can make he difference.
