Nowadays the economy is down the drain, and energy prizes are unstable. What better time than this to get a big cut back on you electricity bill.. Or even make money selling your surplus energy back to the power company!

Of course there are several methods you could apply to to achieve that goal, but I think the easiest and most beneficial is DIY solar power. The sun doesn't cost you a cent, and it can even help you to save lots of cash!

Solar power can be used in an almost infinite number of ways, in and around your home or your company. A great thing about solar power systems is that they are very diverse. Let me give you just a few examples of things you could use DIY Solar Power for, instead of the expensive, non-renewable electricity that you are using right now.

- Hot water / warming system for the floor of your home.

- Car washes.

- Warm water and lighting for inexpensive luxury in your cabin, cottage or second home.

- More advanced usage like passive solar air heating, this works brilliant as well.

- For a safe atmosphere around your house or company: Apply solar power to light your driveway, garden, path, or home.

- Power all possible electric appliances in and around your home.

- Industrial and/or commercial water heating and hot water appliance.

- With the use of solar power you can heat water to heat your home with.

- If you own an indoor or outdoor swimming pool you can heat this as well.. how luxurious!

- For people with a private street, or just for a parking lot you can use solar power for lighting.

- If you want, you can apply polar power to service a construction site. For instance, think about communication equipment, computers, all kinds of tools).

- Spa/hot tub heating.

- Use a portable solar power device to charge your portable electronics.

- Campsite shower water heating.

- Powering your security system and/or the lighting for your motion sensor equipment.

I think this clearly shows that with the use of a solar power system, you can easily do your part to keep our planet green, and save yourself a good deal of money at the same time. If you would want to do this, how is the best way?

Of course you could go and buy yourself a solar power system, they start at around $3000. But you can just as easy (and way cheaper) build a solar power system yourself!

If you choose to build your own system, then you will need a proper manual that explains every step you have to take in detail. I personally prefer the one at DIYSolarPower.Net because of the level of detail they go into, and because they keep their instructions simple and clear so they can also be applied by beginners.

Apart from that, the course covers many topics on DIY home energy solutions and green electricity issues. For instance you will also learn how to build a wind power generator, and how to make batteries that you can use to store your electricity in.
