Electricity is produced in wind power because there is a thing called Wind Mills. When those wind mills turn the generator turns. Once it goes fast enough you get electricity.

The Energy contained in the force of the wind is harnessed by a 'Propeller' like Turbine which rotates and, through a shaft, the rotation is transferred to a power generator.

It goes back to the concept of a current carrying conductor cutting the lines of flux in a magnetic field, just like any other generator rotated by any prime mover.
